In fourth grade I remember playing Oregon Trail in class as a reward for spelling all my words right or getting 2 +2 correct. What a game. It’d be nice if they brought it back.

If they did bring it back I think I could be an Oregon Trail Champion - I always was good at hunting the deer. It did suck when you died of dysentery though.

I remember when I got my first Nintendo. Spending hours on Super Mario - I even had the pad that you could run on for the Olympic Games.

We used to get blisters on our thumbs playing that thing so much. Who knew that gaming would evolve into what it is now.

I probably spent a good percentage of my youth trying to get past the alligators in Pitfall when I was a kid. This was probably the first video game I was addicted to. Of course, I could only play it over at my cousin’s house as I only had a Commodore 64, not an Atari.
